The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg offers article suppliers (i.e. producers, importers, distributors and retailers) a training on the AskREACH supplier front end on the 19th of June 2019 (13h30-16h30) at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) in Belvaux.
The AskREACH system aims at helping article suppliers to be compliant on their communication duties on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) according to the European Chemicals Regulation, REACH. Article 33 REACH stipulates that suppliers of articles containing Substances of Very High concern (SVHC) in a concentration above 0.1% (w/w) must provide this information to their (professional) customers, as well as information to allow the safe use of the article. It also determines the consumers’ right to request and obtain this information from a supplier. In light of the launch of the AskREACH smartphone application for consumers in October 2019, the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg proposes an opportunity for companies to understand their obligations and get to know the AskREACH supplier front end in a hands-on training. This event will also help companies to populate the AskREACH database with their article SVHC information prior to the official launch of the smartphone application.
The event is aimed at all companies manufacturing, importing or selling articles, wishing to facilitate the communication of SVHC information of their articles, regardless of the presence or non-presence of these substances in their articles.
The event will consist of a short theory part on REACH requirements for substances in articles and a hands-on part on the AskREACH supplier front end.
