Event - Detail

  • Webinar series on REACH restriction – Restriction on Short Chain Chlorinated Paraffins (SCCP)

The REACH&CLP Luxembourg Helpdesk is organising a series of webinars on the restriction procedure under REACH. The fourth webinar in this series will take place on 4 July 2024 from 14:00 to 15:30.

Under REACH, restriction is an instrument to protect human health and the environment from unacceptable risks posed by chemicals. Restriction is normally used to limit or ban the manufacture, placing on the market (including imports) or use of a substance, but can impose any relevant condition, such as requiring technical measures or specific labels. A restriction may apply to any substance on its own, in a mixture or in an article, including those that do not require registration, for example, substances manufactured or imported below one tonne per year or certain polymers.

In this fourth webinar, the REACH&CLP Helpdesk will present in detail the restriction concerning SCCP, including a quick reminder on the restriction procedure. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask their questions to the Helpdesk team.
