On 17 October 2023 REACH restriction microplastics intentionally added to products start applying.

Following concern raised by professionals on glitter, the Commission just published Q&As informing stakeholders about its current thinking on the application of the microplastics restriction, including to plastic glitter on its own and in products.

The Commission is also working on a detailed Q&A document to help with the implementation of the new rules. The document is expected to be made available on this page by the end of 2023.
