European Commission adopts microplastics restriction
The Commission has adopted a restriction (Regulation (EU) 2023/2055) under the REACH.
This restriction limits the use of intentionally added microplastics in products such as cosmetics, detergents and artificial sports pitches. It will prevent the release to the environment of about half a million tonnes of microplastics.
