The European Commission has published an amendment, Regulation (EU) 2017/735, to the Regulation on tests methods for REACH (Regulation (EC) No 440/2008). The amending Regulation includes new and updated test methods recently adopted by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in order to take into account technical progress, and to ensure the reduction in the number of animals to be used for experimental purposes.

The Annex of the previous Regulation is now replaced by the Annex of Regulation (EU) 2017/735.
