The European Commission plans to publish its roadmap to phasing out animal testing for chemical safety assessment towards the end of next year, according to a presentation to the Committee for REACH and CLP (CARACAL) meeting on 1-2 July.

This roadmap will outline a path to expand and accelerate the development, validation and implementation of non-animal methods, as well as facilitate their uptake across different regulations.
