Landscape study of sustainability attributes

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Working Party on Risk Management has launched a  survey to better understand the use of specific sustainability impacts when making chemical/material selection business decisions. The information collected in the survey will inform a report describing the landscape of sustainability attributes considered for chemical/material selection. This report’s goal is to establish a baseline for future initiatives supporting transitions towards the use of sustainable chemicals among OECD member countries.

The survey is outlined in this pdf and the survey itself can be completed online. The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. Survey responses will be treated as confidential. As part of this project, willing participant can opt into follow-up interviews to develop a deeper understanding on key issues. All published survey results in the final report and any presentation/publication resulting from this project will be described in aggregate format; no identifiers (e.g., individual and company names) will be used in connection with any published results from the survey. The survey will close on October 31st at 11:59 PM EST.

The survey and associated report are being coordinated and developed by Sustainable Chemistry Catalyst at the University of Massachusetts Lowell on behalf of the OECD. If you have any questions, please email: aude_bechu@uml.edu.
