The European Commission has amended the list of restricted substances in Annex XVII to REACH, adding the following new entries:

• 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) which shall not be placed on the market, manufactured or used as a substance on its own or in mixtures in a concentration equal to or greater than 0,3 % after 9 May, unless the specified Derived No Effect Level (DNEL) for workers exposure and accordingly risk management measures to limit exposure and appropriate operational conditions are applied - for further details please consult the regulation.
• Methanol shall not be placed on the market to the general public after 9 May 2018 in windscreen washing or defrosting fluids, in a concentration equal to or greater than 0,6 % by weight.
