The European Commission requested ECHA to update their guideline for 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. It will be expanded to include further substances:

• N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)
• N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC)
• 1-ethylpyrrolidin-2-one (NEP)

The updated guidelines are expected to be published during the first quarter of 2026.
