The European Commission has amended Annex XVII REACH (Regulation (EU) 2018/35) to include the substances octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5) (entry 70). This restriction concerns their use in wash-off cosmetics products that shall not be place on the market after the 31^st of January 2020 if the concentration is equal to or greater than 0,1 % by weight of either substance.
