An amendment of the Annex XVII REACH (Regulation (EU) 2024/2462) has recently  been published in the Official Journal. The amendment concerns a restriction on undecafluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA), its salts and related substances.

The restriction will starts applying from 10^th April 2026 onwards and will ban the sale and use of PFHxA in consumer textiles, food packaging, consumer mixtures, cosmetics and in some firefighting foam applications.
