Inquiry process more efficient
After the late pre-registration period ends in May 2017, the only way for companies to get in contact with existing registrants to share data and have access to the joint registration is through an inquiry. As ECHA expects an increase of the number of inquiry dossiers after May, they have improved the inquiry process to make sure that potential registrants are put in contact with the other registrants without delay.
Reminder, to benefit from the 31 May 2018 registration deadline for low volume, existing substances, you need to have pre-registered them. You can still do so if you have recently entered the European market. The last chance is on the 31st of May 2017. If you do not pre-register by that date, you will need to register your substance before you can manufacture or import it.
