ECHA has updated its guidance on PBT assessment to reflect latest scientific developments, revised REACH information requirements and adaptations from the recent changes on REACH annexes on ecotoxicological information.

The PBT expert group, Member State authorities and stakeholders provided input to the guidance:

• PBT/vPvB assessment (Chapter R.11)
• Endpoint specific guidance (Chapter R.7b)
• Endpoint specific guidance (Chapter R.7c)

Additionally, as part of the guidance update on assessing PBT substances, ECHA has published a list of examples illustrating weight of evidence assessment. The examples are from the Candidate List of substances of very high concern that were identified as PBT/vPvB. The list will be periodically updated.
